The DeBakey pediatric clamp scales the familiar atraumatic pattern down to suit children. It comes in four short lengths, from 10 cm up to 13 cm.

Four short lengths

You can choose 10, 11, 12 or 13 cm. So the clamp fits even very small operative fields in infants. Shorter sizes also keep the surgeon’s hand close to delicate work.

Material options

Stainless steel covers most everyday needs and matches the rest of a tray. Alternatively, tungsten carbide offers a harder material for teams who prefer it. Both versions serve the same gentle, atraumatic purpose.

Sized for young vessels

Young patients have thin vessels that tear under rough handling. Therefore, a small clamp with gentle jaws makes occlusion safer and more precise. It fits naturally into congenital and pediatric vascular sets.

Choosing a size

Neonatal work often calls for the 10 or 11 cm size. By contrast, older children may need the 12 or 13 cm DeBakey pediatric clamp. Plus, keeping two neighboring sizes covers most ages you will see.
