The Cooley anastomosis clamp comes in six lengths, from a compact 16 cm up to 27.5 cm. That span covers both shallow grafts and very deep vessel joins.

Sizes run 16, 17, 20, 21, 27 and 27.5 cm. So the range stretches from compact all the way to extra long. Few anastomosis patterns cover such a wide spread in one family.

The short sizes

The 16 and 17 cm clamps suit surface vessels and superficial grafts. Meanwhile, they feel light and settle into position easily. Surgeons often keep one within arm’s reach for quick use.

The long sizes

The 27 and 27.5 cm versions reach deep into the chest or pelvis. As a result, the hand stays well outside the wound edge. That extra space helps when several clamps share the same field.

The longest sizes need a container deep enough that nothing bends them. First, flush the jaws, then wash the clamp open inside an extended basket. Before storage, confirm the tips still meet squarely along their full length.
