Collin-Duval Grasping Forceps
Collin-Duval forceps hold bowel and other soft tissue with a broad, triangular jaw. The instrument measures 20 cm, and you choose the jaw width.
Three jaw widths
The 14 mm jaw suits small structures. Meanwhile, the 18 mm and 27 mm jaws spread the hold across more tissue.
A gentle hold
Because the triangular jaw covers a wide area, it grips with less pressure at any one point. As a result, it suits delicate tissue.
Where it helps
Surgeons use this forceps to lift and hold loops of bowel, lung or other soft tissue. Then the wide jaw spreads the grip, so the tissue stays in good condition. Because there are three jaw widths, you can match the grip to the structure. Also, the 20 cm length reaches into deeper fields. When you release it, open the ratchet gently so the tissue does not tear. Also, the 27 mm jaw spreads the hold widely enough for heavier loops of bowel.

Clean the jaws and ratchet after use. After rinsing, dry the forceps and confirm both triangles line up when closed.
