Description
Coleman & London Hospital Root Elevator Set, 3 Pieces
The Coleman & London Hospital elevators in this kit give you one straight blade and one handed pair. So a small tray covers most single-root work.
Three pieces, two jobs
First, the Coleman Fig. 20 is a straight, single elevator. You seat its tip in the space between root and bone, then turn it gently to lift. Because the shaft runs straight, it suits front teeth and roots you can reach head-on.
Why the London Hospital pair comes left and right
Next, the Fig. 21 elevators come as a mirror pair. One works from the left and the other from the right. As a result, you keep a good angle on either side of the arch without twisting your wrist. In practice, the pair helps most on back teeth.
A typical root removal sequence
- Start with the Coleman to open the space and test how firm the root is.
- Then switch to the London Hospital blade that meets the root from the easier side.
- Finish with forceps or a pick once the root moves freely.
Choosing this trio over a larger elevator kit
Our bigger kits add more widths and bayonet shapes. However, many general practices only need a short list. So the Coleman & London Hospital elevators suit a clinic that removes the odd root. For heavy surgical work, a set with graded widths may fit better.
One order, matched pieces
Buying the trio together means all three arrive at once with one handle style. Moreover, the pair stays matched, so you never end up with a left blade and no right.
Steel, cover and next steps
Each elevator uses surgical stainless steel that follows ASTM F899. We have the kit made to our own design and checked here in the United States. You get it non-sterile; reuse it after cleaning and sterilization. If a factory flaw appears, we fix it, since Coleman and London Hospital blades hold three years against manufacturing defects, Fig. 20 and both Fig. 21 sides alike. Also compare the Lecluse & Potts trio, see every clinical and institutional set we stock, or read our common questions page.
Sold for professional use only. For this trio, our care and sterilization steps cover reprocessing, and our delivery page lists dispatch times.
