Description
Cinelli Chisel
The Cinelli chisel is a nasal chisel for rhinoplasty. Its broad edge, struck with a mallet, suits bigger dorsal cuts such as removing a hump.
Wide blade options
We offer four blade sizes: 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm and 16 mm. These widths sit toward the broad end for nasal chisels. Therefore they suit cuts that need to span much of the dorsum at once.
Using a broad chisel
A broad blade can remove a hump in one controlled piece. As a result, the surgeon avoids many small, uneven cuts. Afterward, a rasp often smooths the new profile.
Where it sits in the set
Many surgeons keep a broad chisel for the main reduction and narrow tools for detail. For instance, a 14 mm blade might take the hump, while a narrow osteotome handles lateral cuts. So this chisel usually covers the bigger steps.
Choosing a width
First, think about the typical width of the dorsum you treat. Next, choose a blade that covers it without extending past the edges. If you are unsure, ask us for photos of each size.
Caring for your Cinelli chisel
Wash off debris soon after surgery, and do not let the edge knock against other tools. Then dry the chisel completely. Finally, sterilize it with a guard over the edge.

Buying information for broad blades
We give every broad width, 10 to 16 mm, a three-year warranty covering workmanship defects. Our Atlanta team also hand-inspects each broad blade before it goes out. Our FAQ pages explain orders, shipping and care. ASTM F899 is the recognized reference for broad chisels and other surgical instrument steels. To finish the dorsum after the cut, try the Lewis rasp. Broad nasal chisels are only for trained clinical staff. Our care and sterilization page explains how chisel images may differ and why the alloy holds nickel, and the delivery and shipping page lists carriers.
