Description
Bracket Placing Tweezers
Our bracket placing tweezers carry a bracket from the pad to the tooth and let you seat it in the paste. They are a single item, built for one of the most frequent jobs at a bonding visit. So they earn a place on every bonding tray.
The job at the bonding chair
Bonding asks for a steady grip and a light touch. First you pick up the bracket. Then you place it on the tooth and nudge it into line. Because the tweezers hold the bracket close to your fingers, you keep good feel through each step.
Grip and control
A good grip avoids flicking the bracket across the room. For example, hold the tweezers like a pen and squeeze only as hard as you need. In addition, rest a finger on a nearby tooth, so small movements stay small.
A quick bonding sequence
- Pick the bracket up by its body, not a wing.
- Place it near the planned spot on the tooth.
- Press gently to seat it in the adhesive.
- Clear any excess paste before you cure.
Building a bonding tray
These tweezers pair well with a positioning gauge and a scaler for flash removal. Also think about a fine-tip pair for small brackets. Then each tool on the tray has its own task, and you avoid swapping back and forth.
Tip checks that save time
Tweezer tips must meet evenly. So hold them up to a bright lamp once each cycle ends. If the tips no longer meet, set the pair aside rather than fight with it. Moreover, dried adhesive on the tips makes brackets stick, so clean them promptly.
These tweezers come to you unsterilized. So clean and sterilize them first, and after that they rejoin the bonding set for each new patient. We order them to an Intrace specification, and our crew examines every pair in the United States. The tweezer steel is a stainless kind in line with ASTM F899. On top of that, any factory flaw is ours to fix during three years against manufacturing defects.
