Description
Amalgam Carvers Fig. 104
After condensing, amalgam stays workable for only a few minutes, so the carver you pick up needs to feel right immediately. This amalgam carver is figure 104 from the amalgam carvers page of our supplier’s catalogue. It is offered on its own, in one figure only. That keeps ordering simple: there are no sizes or variations to compare, and the photo shows the exact carver you will receive.
What a Carver Does in an Amalgam Restoration
Once the cavity is overfilled and condensed, the carver removes surplus and restores the tooth’s form. First, the clinician rests part of the blade on the sound enamel beside the margin. Then the blade cuts away excess while following the cusp slopes, so the restoration blends into the natural contour. Finally, fissures and fossae are refined before the material hardens.
Why Choose Figure 104
Carver choice is largely personal. Many dentists keep a discoid-cleoid for occlusal anatomy plus a second carver whose shape suits their own hand. Fig. 104 is listed under its figure number alone, without an eponym, so judge it from the photo. If it matches a carver you already like, it makes a convenient spare. In addition, dental schools and clinics often stock a single figure across every tray for consistency.
The Fig. 104 Carver After Delivery
Our United States inspectors look over each Fig. 104 edge and finish before it ships. The carver arrives unsterilized, so remove packaging, wash it and run it through the autoclave first. Moreover, Fig. 104 owners receive three years against manufacturing defects, with ordinary carver wear excluded.
Carver steel meets ASTM F899 for stainless surgical tools. See every diagnostic, periodontal and restorative hand instrument, add a Cleoid-Discoid Carver for occlusal anatomy, or read our FAQs.
Fig. 104 is intended for licensed dental professionals and trained assistants. Find amalgam carver reprocessing guidance here, plus our shipping and delivery times.
