Adson Carbide Tipped Tissue Forceps, Serrated
These carbide Adson forceps add serrated carbide inserts to the jaws of a 12 cm Adson. The catalogue describes the tips as designed for an atraumatic grasp of tissue. Each pair is checked in our United States warehouse prior to dispatch.
What Carbide Tips Add
Carbide is a very hard material. Because the inserts resist wear, the serrations keep their grip pattern through many cycles. That makes the forceps a long-term choice for daily surgical use. Note that only the tips are carbide; the body is stainless steel.
Serrated Rather Than Toothed
The jaws carry fine serrations, not interlocking teeth. As a result, pressure is shared over the whole tip face rather than piercing the tissue. Choose these when you handle flap margins, grafts or membranes that need a firm but gentle hold.
A 12 cm Working Length
At 12 cm, the forceps match the standard Adson size. So they sit naturally in a pen grasp and reach most anterior and premolar sites. For deeper areas, however, a longer carbide forceps may help. Also, the shorter length gives fine control when you pass sutures through a thin margin.
Backing on Tips and Body
Inserts and frame alike enjoy a pledge of three years against manufacturing defects, honored from the delivery date. In addition, contact us right away if the carbide tips arrive with any flaw.
The stainless body follows ASTM F899 for surgical steel. Explore the rest of our Dental Implant Instruments. For extra reach with the same carbide idea, compare the TC Gripper Carbide-Tipped Tissue Forceps. Ordering and returns are explained on our FAQs page.
Intended for trained clinicians in surgical settings. The forceps arrive unsterilized; clean the serrated tips with a soft brush and sterilize them before every first use, following our care and sterilization page. Delivery timing is posted on our shipping and delivery page.
