Wire Saw Handle

A wire saw handle gives the surgeon a firm grip on a Gigli or Olivecrona wire saw. The saw itself is a flexible wire, so it needs a grip at each end to pull it back and forth.

How it works

The surgeon passes the wire saw under the bone, for example between two burr holes. Then a handle attaches to each end. By pulling the handles in turn, the surgeon saws through the bone from the inside out.
