This ear polypus snare wire reloads the snare instruments that ENT surgeons rely on for aural polyps. Each roll holds 10 m, about 33 ft, of wire.

Why snares need spare wire

A snare forms a wire loop around the base of a polyp. The surgeon then tightens the loop to remove the polyp. Because the wire does its job only once, the team threads a fresh length for each case.

Two thicknesses

You can order 0.3 mm or 0.4 mm wire. Thinner wire suits smaller loops and fine work. Thicker wire, on the other hand, holds a loop shape more firmly. Check your snare to see which thickness it takes.

Using a roll

A 10 m roll supplies many loops. First, cut a length that suits your snare. Next, thread it and form the loop. Then store the rest of the roll clean and dry until the next case.

Matching wire to your snare

Different snare models accept different wire sizes. So look at the old wire or the maker’s notes before ordering. If you are unsure, send us the snare pattern and we will suggest a thickness.
