Description
USA Model Bone Curettes, 16 cm
Cleaning a socket or a bony defect needs a sharp cup that can scrape firmly without slipping. This USA model bone curette is a 16 cm instrument from the bone curettes page of our supplier catalogue. It comes in two figures, Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, and each figure also has left and right versions. Our United States team inspects every curette for tip sharpness and finish before we ship it.
Fig. 1 or Fig. 2
The catalogue lists Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 as two separate patterns of the same 16 cm curette. However, it does not give tip measurements for either. So, compare the option photos to see which cup size and shape suit your usual sockets. Many oral surgeons keep both figures, then choose the one that fits the defect in front of them.
The L and R Versions
Besides the plain figures, the catalogue offers Fig. 1L, Fig. 1R, Fig. 2L and Fig. 2R. The L and R letters mark left and right versions. With these, for example, you can reach the mesial and distal walls of a socket from a comfortable hand position. As a result, you spend less time turning the instrument or changing your grip. If you do a lot of surgical extractions or cyst work, a matched left and right pair is worth having.
Material and Our Guarantee
The curette is stainless steel in all six options. Because it leaves us non-sterile, wash it and run an autoclave cycle first. Then store it with the cup edge guarded. In addition, all six figures share our term of three years against manufacturing defects; no figure is excluded.
Surgical steel grades are explained in the ASTM F899 standard. Additional curettes and bone tools are in our Maxillofacial Surgery Instruments section. For another curette pattern, also look at the Lucas Bone Curettes. Answers on orders and returns are in our FAQs.
Sold for use by trained oral surgeons and dental professionals. Reprocessing steps appear under care and sterilization, and delivery timing under shipping and delivery.
