This titanium steel scaler set gives a hygienist two matched groups of scalers on one tray. Three steel patterns serve natural teeth. Three titanium twins of the same patterns then serve implant sites, so you switch metal without switching shape.
Two metals, one set of shapes
Each metal comes in H6/7, 204SD and Columbia 13/14. Because the shapes repeat, the hand learns one grip for both groups. Steel holds a fine edge for calculus on enamel and root. Titanium is softer than steel, so it carries less risk of scratching titanium abutments.
How a mixed recall visit flows
First, the colour probe UNC 15/11/5B charts pocket depth. The sickle patterns then clear deposits above the gum, while the Columbia 13/14 reaches into shallow pockets. When a patient has implants, the clinician picks up the titanium trio for those sites. Finally, the Meriam forceps move cotton and gauze, and the bowl holds rinse.
