Description
T-Handle
This orthopedic T-handle attaches to compatible taps, drills and screwdriver shafts. Its T shape allows firm, two-handed turning.
Why a T-handle
A T-handle gives more leverage than a straight handle. Therefore stiff taps and screws turn more easily. It also keeps the tool aligned.
Compatibility
The handle fits instruments with a matching coupling. Please confirm your instruments before ordering. We will check fit.
Who uses an orthopedic T-handle
Trauma surgeons use it with taps and large screws. Also, intramedullary nailing sets may include it. It suits hardware removal too.
Turning technique
Hold both ends of the T and turn evenly. Then pause to check alignment. Avoid side loads that bend the shaft.
A versatile tool
One T-handle can serve several instruments. Consequently, it saves space on crowded trays. Furthermore, many sets carry one.
When extra leverage helps
Large cancellous screws and stiff taps need real torque. Consequently, a T-handle makes the work easier on the wrist. Moreover, it lets the surgeon feel when the screw seats.
