Description
Sterilizing Forceps, Straight, 20 cm
Sterile items lose their status the moment an ungloved hand touches them. Straight sterilizing forceps solve that by giving the team a long, clean reach into trays, cassettes and sterilizer chambers. This straight pattern measures 20 cm, or about 8 inches. So it reaches into a deep container while keeping fingers well away from the contents.
Why 20 cm and Straight
The length matters most. A short forceps puts the hand close to the sterile field, whereas 20 cm leaves a safe gap. Also, the straight design keeps the jaws in line with the hand, which makes it easy to judge where the tips will close. Many assistants find straight forceps more predictable for picking up small items.
Daily Uses on an Implant Setup
On surgery day, the forceps can move instruments from a sterilized cassette to the tray. In addition, they lift gauze, cotton rolls or a sterile bowl into position. Because the implant tray holds many pieces, a dedicated transfer forceps keeps the setup tidy and limits handling.
One Size, Listed by the Supplier
The catalogue shows this item with the other forceps, osteotomes, chisels and mallets, and no other size is offered on this page. Therefore, please use the photos to check jaw shape and grip before ordering. If you need a different length, contact us and we will check availability.
Steel, Inspection and Warranty
The forceps are surgical stainless steel. Our United States staff check that the jaws meet evenly before shipping. They arrive non-sterile, so ironically they need their own cleaning and sterilizer cycle first. Jaws, joint and shanks share the same three years against manufacturing defects as the rest of our forceps range.
The steel meets ASTM F899. See the full dental implant instrument range, transfer sterile graft items into a stainless bone basin, and read our FAQs.
Intended for trained dental and clinical staff. Our care and sterilization notes and shipping details page explain more.
