Description
Spine Wrench
The spine wrench is a hand tool that spinal teams keep for turning nuts and fittings during surgery. It measures 23 cm, which gives good leverage while the hand stays outside the wound.
What it does
Many spine systems use nuts or hex fittings that need a firm, controlled turn. So a wrench lets the surgeon tighten or loosen them without a power tool. It also helps when a fitting sticks at the end of a case.
One length
We list the wrench at 23 cm. The maker’s catalogue gives about 22 cm, so expect a length close to that. We do not publish the jaw or socket size, so contact us if you need it before ordering.
Where it fits in a spine set
A spine tray may hold drivers, drills, distraction screws and retractors. The wrench covers the turning jobs those tools do not. For example, it may adjust a frame or secure a fitting on spinal hardware.
Checking the fit
Because hardware varies from one system to another, fit matters more than anything else here. First, check the nut or fitting you need to turn. Then send us its size or a photo, and we will confirm whether this wrench suits it.
Caring for your spine wrench
Clean the working end promptly, since blood and bone dust collect in the jaw. Next, brush and rinse the whole wrench in warm water. Dry it thoroughly, then sterilize it with your spine instruments.
