Description
Solid Retention Rim Impression Trays
The solid retention rim tray has the same deep border as our perforated retention-rim model, with a closed body. With no holes, you rely on the rim and a good adhesive to hold the set impression.
Closed Floor, Full Control
A solid floor keeps the material in the tray, so pressure goes into the arch and not out the back. That suits heavier materials. However, it means you must coat the tray with adhesive every time.
Sizes at a Glance
There are six choices: upper L, M or S and lower L, M or S. The large upper is 81×67 mm across and front to back. At the other end, the small lower is 76×54 mm. Middle sizes fall between, just as on the perforated version.
Steps for a Clean Result
- Try the empty tray and check the rim clears the soft tissue.
- Paint adhesive on the inside and over the rim.
- Wait until the coat dries.
- Load, seat and hold still until the material sets.
Why Choose Steel
Steel trays do not flex under heavy putty, unlike thin plastic. As a result, the layer of material stays even from front to back.
Caring for the Rim
Adhesive can collect in the angle where the rim meets the floor. So scrub that line with a brush after each case, then rinse and dry.
Your solid retention rim tray comes non-sterile. Clean it, sterilize it, and it is ready to use again for case after case. We set the spec, and our staff inspect each batch in the United States. The stainless steel conforms to ASTM F899. If a flaw from production appears, you can count on cover for three years against manufacturing defects. Want holes instead? See the perforated rim trays.
