Sims Uterine Curette

The Sims uterine curette is a 26 cm instrument for endometrial work. Its sharp edge scrapes the lining, while the blunt edge evacuates the cavity more gently.

Sharp edge

Pick the sharp version when you need to scrape the endometrium for a diagnostic sample. It removes tissue with a clean, controlled pass. Therefore, inspect it often so the edge stays keen from one list to the next.

Blunt edge

The blunt version works for gentler evacuation of the uterus. So it suits cases where you want less bite on the uterine wall. Meanwhile, both versions share the same widths and the same 26 cm length.

Rigid or malleable

A rigid shank keeps a fixed line from handle to tip. Instead, a malleable shank lets you bend the curette to suit the patient. Then it holds that shape through the procedure until you reshape it.
