Description
Sheen Retractor
The Sheen retractor lifts the skin of the nose during rhinoplasty. It gives the surgeon a clear view of the nasal frame through small openings.
Two lengths
We offer 15 cm and 16 cm versions. The shorter one suits tip work. Meanwhile, the longer one reaches further up toward the bridge.
Why surgeons pick the Sheen retractor
Jack Sheen designed tools for precise nasal surgery. The retractor that carries the name follows the shape of the nose. As a result, it lifts the skin evenly.
Typical cases
Open and closed rhinoplasty both use it. For instance, it holds the skin over the dorsum while the surgeon shapes the hump. It also helps in revision rhinoplasty.
Paired tools
The Sheen marker helps plan the nose before the first cut. In addition, fine scissors and elevators work beside the retractor. Together they cover the main steps of the case.
Technique
Slide the blade under the skin with gentle pressure. Then lift up rather than out. Also, release the pull every few minutes so the skin stays healthy.

Cleaning
Put the retractor in water soon after the case so nothing dries on it. Brush it gently, dry it and lay it flat.
