Description
Schaedel Towel Forceps
The Schaedel towel clip is a small cross-action clip for drapes and fine cables. Pressing the handles opens the points, and releasing them lets the spring close the clip firmly.
Cross-action design
The arms cross over each other, so squeezing opens the points. Consequently, the clip stays shut on its own once released, without any ratchet.
Sizes of the Schaedel towel clip
We offer 9 cm and 10 cm. In addition, both are small and light, which suits paper drapes and short procedures.
Typical uses
Plastic, hand and minor surgery teams use it to fix drape corners. It also holds fine tubing and leads along the drape edge.
One-handed use
The cross action lets the user place a clip with one hand. As a result, draping goes quickly, especially when the other hand holds the drape.
Compared with the Jones clip
Both are small spring clips. However, the Schaedel’s crossed arms give a slightly firmer closing force.
Spares
Small clips go missing easily during draping. For that reason, many teams keep a few extras on the tray.
