Pratt Uterine Dilator Set of 8 in Canvas Case
This Pratt dilator set brings all eight double-ended Pratt dilators together in a canvas case. It runs from Fig 13/15 up to Fig 41/43, so one case covers the whole range.
Eight sizes, sixteen ends
Each dilator carries a different size at each end. So eight pieces give sixteen working diameters, from 4.5 mm to 14.3 mm. As a result, the surgeon moves up in small steps without hunting for the next rod.
Tapered tips
Every Pratt dilator has a long tapered tip that eases into the canal. Then the diameter grows gradually as the dilator advances. Because of this gentle taper, many gynecologists prefer the Pratt pattern for gradual opening.
French sizing
The case lists each size by its Fig number on the French scale. For example, Fig 13/15 matches 4.5/5.0 mm, and Fig 41/43 matches 13.6/14.3 mm. So you can read sizes in either unit.
Why buy the full set
A complete Pratt dilator set keeps every size in sequence on one tray. However, if one piece goes missing, you can replace it from our single-size page. Also, the canvas case protects the tips between uses.
Cleaning Pratt dilator set
Remove the dilators from the case before you clean them. Next, wash and dry each one, checking the tapered tips for nicks. Then return them to the case in size order so the next user finds the sequence intact.
