Description
Partsch Mallet
The Partsch mallet is a classic oral surgery hammer, 18 cm long. Its 22 mm head weighs about 200 g, which gives controlled force for fine chisels.
Made for fine blades
Carl Partsch shaped much of early oral surgery, and Partsch chisels need a light, precise mallet. Besides, this one fits that role. Furthermore, each tap moves the blade a little at a time.
Size and weight
The mallet is 18 cm long. Meanwhile, the head measures 22 mm across and weighs around 200 g. So it sits between the lightest and the medium mallets in our range.
Who uses the Partsch mallet
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons use it with chisels and gouges. It also suits hand surgery and small-bone work. Implant teams use it for ridge expansion steps.
Pair it with matching blades
It works especially well with Partsch chisels and gouges. Therefore many oral surgery sets carry the full trio. Ask us if you want help building a set.
Weight in context
At about 200 g, the Partsch sits between the lightest mallets and the general ones. Consequently, it moves fine blades with ease yet still copes with firmer jaw bone. Additionally, many oral surgeons find it the right middle ground.
