Description
O’Sullivan-O’Connor Retractor Blade
This O’Sullivan-O’Connor blade is a component, not a complete retractor. It fits the O’Sullivan-O’Connor self-retaining retractor frame and comes in four sizes.
A component for the frame
You need the O’Sullivan-O’Connor frame to use this part. It adds or replaces one retracting surface on that frame. So buy it when a part wears, goes missing, or when you want another size.
Four sizes
The 45×17 mm size is short and narrow for a shallow field. By contrast, the 90×37 mm and 90×45 mm sizes reach deeper, with a choice of width. The 110×70 mm size is the largest, for the deepest field. All dimensions read as length by width.
Why swap parts
Different patients and procedures call for different depths. Then, rather than buying a second frame, you simply change this piece. As a result, one frame covers more cases.
Ordering the right part
Check that you already own the frame before ordering an O’Sullivan-O’Connor blade on its own. However, if you need everything, order the complete set instead. Also, list the size you need, since each piece has a fixed length and width.
Cleaning O’Sullivan-O’Connor blade
Detach the piece from the frame before you clean either part. Next, wash both faces and rinse them well. Then dry it and store it flat beside the frame so the two stay together.
