Description
Orthodontic Debanding Set, 6 Pieces
Removal day is the visit patients wait for. Our orthodontic debanding set puts the six tools for that visit on one tray, from the first wire cut to the last trace of cement.
The order of a debond visit
First, the slim distal end cutter trims the archwire behind the last bracket. Its tungsten carbide inserts give a hard cutting edge. Next, the thin Weingart plier lifts the wire out of the slots. Then the straight bracket remover grips each bracket base and releases it from the enamel.
Bands and molars
Molar bands need a different grip. So the band remover rests on the cusp and levers the band up from the gingival edge. Work slowly, and support the tooth with your other hand while you do.
Cleaning up the enamel
Adhesive often stays behind after the brackets come off. The H6/7 scaler lifts these flakes, and the #6 mirror shows what remains on lingual and distal faces. Many offices then polish with their own burs.
Who this tray suits
- Clinics that run dedicated debond appointments
- Assistants who prefer one ready tray per patient
- Practices adding a second removal chair
Picking between our orthodontic trays
This tray removes appliances. However, the archwire tray holds the tools for placing and adjusting wires, and the twelve-piece practice tray covers both jobs with more pliers. Buying the six as one product also keeps the jaws and handles matched, so the team learns one feel.
Before you order
We source this debanding tray to our own specification, and our US staff look over each plier before dispatch. Its stainless steel matches ASTM F899. Should a debanding plier fail, these six tools share three years against manufacturing defects on jaws and joints. Delivery is non-sterile, so clean and sterilize the tray before use; it then serves for years. Visit the full set category, look at the Orthodontic Archwire Set, or check our help and FAQ page.
