Description
Noto Uterine Polypus Forceps
Noto polypus forceps reach into the uterine cavity to grasp and remove polyps. They run about 27 cm and come straight.
Mid-length reach
This length sits between our 20 cm Doyen and 32 cm Kelly patterns. So it covers many polyps inside the uterus without the extra length of the Kelly. Also, the straight line gives a direct path through the canal.
Straight jaws in the uterus
A straight instrument follows the axis of the cervical canal. Then the surgeon can feel for the polyp and close on it. However, a polyp near the fundus may need the curved Kelly pattern instead.
Typical workflow
First, the clinician sounds the uterus and notes its depth. Next, the cervix may need gentle dilation for the forceps to pass. Finally, the polyp comes out and goes to pathology.
Pairing with hysteroscopy
Some surgeons locate the polyp by hysteroscopy first to confirm its size and site. Then Noto polypus forceps help lift it out once found. Meanwhile, a tenaculum steadies the cervix throughout, so the canal stays aligned.
Cleaning Noto polypus forceps
Brush out tissue from the jaws while still moist. Afterwards, wash and rinse the instrument, paying attention to the joint. Store it flat in a long tray so the shaft stays true.
