Description
Mod. USA Bone Curette
The modified USA bone curette is an American-pattern curette in six figures. Each figure carries a sharp cup, and the sizes step up from 1 to 6.
Graded cups
Figure 1 has the smallest cup, while figure 6 has the largest. So the set lets you start small and widen the cavity step by step. That approach saves healthy bone.
A practical length
The curette sits at a handy mid length. Therefore it suits hand, foot and oral work as well as general orthopedic cases. It also fits easily on a crowded tray.
Uses of the modified USA bone curette
Surgeons use it to clean cysts, remove granulation tissue and collect graft chips. It also smooths the walls of a cavity before filling. In addition, it works well in extraction sockets.
Choosing figures
Small-bone surgeons often pick figures 1 to 3. Meanwhile, general orthopedic trays may add 4 to 6 for larger cavities. Ask us if you need a full set.
Using two figures together
Many surgeons work with two neighboring figures in turn. For example, figure 2 clears the corners while figure 4 sweeps the center. Consequently, the job finishes faster and more evenly.
