Description
Micro Suture Tying Forceps
Micro suture tying forceps hold very fine suture under the microscope. You can choose from four tip widths.
Four tip widths
The 0.3 and 0.4 mm tips handle the finest suture. Meanwhile, the 0.6 and 0.8 mm tips give a little more grip for heavier material.
Tying platforms
The tips close flat along a short platform. As a result, the suture sits securely while you throw each knot.
Microsurgical use
Surgeons use them in eye, hand and vessel repair. So they belong on any microsurgery set.
Handling fine suture
Work with the tips in view at all times under magnification. Then close the forceps gently, because too much force can cut fine thread. Also, keep one pair for tying and a second pair for holding tissue. In addition, the four tip widths let a unit match the forceps to the suture it uses most. Meanwhile, the finest tips suit 10-0 and 11-0 material in eye work. So a small set of these forceps covers most tying needs in a microsurgery service.
Cleaning micro suture tying forceps
Hold the micro tips under running water rather than scrubbing them. Next, dry the tying forceps with a soft cloth. Then return them to a foam-lined case so the platforms stay flat.
