Description
Lazar Micro Suture Tying Forceps
Lazar tying forceps hold and tie fine suture in microsurgery. They come with 0.5 or 0.8 mm tips.
0.5 mm tips
The 0.5 mm tips give a precise hold on fine thread. So they suit small vessel and nerve repairs.
0.8 mm tips
Its 0.8 mm version spreads the hold across a broader point. Meanwhile, they still pass easily through a small field.
Everyday micro use
Lazar forceps also lift tissue edges gently between throws. Therefore one pair often covers two jobs.
Getting a clean knot
Hold the suture near its end and close the tips lightly. Then wrap the thread with the second instrument and pull square. Also, check the tips under the scope, because a small misalignment frays suture. In addition, the Lazar forceps suit both tying and gentle holding, which reduces instrument changes during a repair. Meanwhile, the two tip widths cover most micro suture sizes. For example, a vascular team might pick the 0.5 mm tips for arteries and the 0.8 mm tips for veins.
Reprocessing Lazar tying forceps
Wipe the Lazar tips with a moist swab during the case. Afterwards, rinse the forceps and dry them by hand. Finally, place them in a padded micro tray.
