Description
Micro Scissors
Micro scissors are fine, spring-action scissors for microsurgery. This range covers lengths from 9 to 22.5 cm.
Lengths and shapes
Short sizes suit surface microsurgery. Meanwhile, the 18 to 22.5 cm sizes reach deep fields.
Angled options
The 18 cm size also comes angled at 25°, 45°, 60°, 90° or 125°. So the blades reach around structures.
Saw edge
An 18 cm straight saw-edge version grips slippery tissue. Also, it cuts fine sutures cleanly.
Holding micro scissors
Hold the handles like a pen, with the spring between your fingers. Then close the blades with light pressure, since the spring opens them again. Because the tips are tiny, rest your hand on a support. As a result, the cut stays steady under magnification.
Reprocessing micro scissors
Never let the tips touch other steel. Clean them with a soft brush, rinse and dry, then store them in a protective rack or with tip guards.
