Description
Martin-Overholt Dissecting and Ligature Forceps
Martin-Overholt forceps have a curved jaw for dissection and passing ties. The range runs from 18.5 to 24 cm.
Five lengths
Sizes run 18.5, 20.5, 21, 21.5 and 24 cm. So you can pick the length that suits each wound.
Curved jaws
The curve lets the tips pass behind a vessel. Also, you keep the tips in view.
Dissect and ligate
Spread tissue with the tips. Then use the same clamp to hold and pass a tie.
Close sizes, different reach
Several sizes sit close together. However, a centimetre changes how the forceps sit in a deep wound. Therefore many surgeons keep the size they prefer on each set. Then they add the 24 cm pair for the deepest steps. If you already use a particular size, order the same one to keep sets consistent. Also, we can confirm dimensions before you buy.
Cleaning Martin-Overholt forceps
Work a soft brush along the inner curve of the jaw. Next, flush and towel-dry. Then leave the ratchet unlocked for sterilization.
