Description
Lister Bandage Scissors
The Lister bandage scissors are the classic angled scissors for cutting bandages. A blunt, flattened tip on the lower blade slides under the bandage and rides along the skin safely.
Many sizes
We list 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 15.5, 18 and 20 cm. Furthermore, small sizes fit a pocket or dressing pack. Meanwhile, the larger sizes handle thick bandages and casts padding.
Standard or tungsten carbide
Standard blades suit everyday ward use. By contrast, tungsten carbide inserts keep a sharp edge for much longer, which pays off in busy departments.
The blunt lower tip of Lister bandage scissors
The flattened tip glides under the bandage without catching the skin. As a result, staff can cut close to the body with confidence.
Typical uses
Nurses, paramedics and plaster room staff use them every day. They also help cut tape, tubing and clothing in an emergency.
Choosing a size
Pocket sizes from 9 to 14 cm suit nursing uniforms. On the other hand, 18 and 20 cm suit emergency rooms and plaster rooms.
A lasting design
Joseph Lister’s name stays attached to this simple, effective shape. Today, almost every ward keeps a pair.
