Lange Alar Hooklet

The Lange alar hooklet is a long instrument with a small hook for the nasal ala. As the name suggests, surgeons use it to lift and hold the side of the nostril during nasal procedures.

Working on the ala

The ala forms the curved side wall of the nostril. So when surgeons work inside the vestibule, they often need that wall drawn outward. A small hook does this job while taking up very little room in the opening.
