Description
Lambert Chalazion Forceps
The Lambert chalazion forceps is a compact lid clamp for minor eyelid surgery. It grips the lid around a chalazion and turns it outward. Because the clamp presses evenly, it also helps hold back bleeding. This model measures 9 cm.
A short clamp for tight lids
At 9 cm, this clamp runs a little shorter than some lid clamps. In practice, a short tool keeps the hand close to the work and easy to steady. That helps on a small or tight lid.
What each Lambert jaw does
One jaw rests flat against the skin. The other forms an open ring that sits on the inner lid. Then you cut through the ring and clear the contents with a curette, while the clamp keeps the lid still.
Picking between chalazion clamps
We list several chalazion patterns, and they share the same basic job. So pick by length and feel. The Lambert suits hands that like a short tool, whereas longer patterns leave more room for the fingers.
- Compact 9 cm length
- Open ring that frames the lesion
- Flat plate on the skin side
- Fits a small minor procedure set
Aftercare at the sink
After the case, flush the ring and the joint before blood dries. Then scrub with a soft nylon brush and a mild detergent. Also, check that the jaws still meet evenly before you pack the clamp.
Buying the Lambert
The Lambert reaches you non-sterile and stays reusable through many cycles. Should a build flaw show up, Lambert buyers get three years against manufacturing defects. Lambert steel follows ASTM F899 for surgical stainless. You may also like the Ayer chalazion clamp, or the wider ophthalmic surgery catalogue. For returns and accounts, see our common questions.
