Reaching every part of the larynx

A laryngeal lesion can sit on top of a cord, beneath it or along its side. Therefore, a single straight jaw cannot reach them all comfortably. So the Jurasz range solves this with several jaw orientations.

Five jaw orientations

Choose among Upward, Straight, Right, Left or Downward Jurasz jaws. The upward and downward versions reach above and below the cord. Meanwhile, the right and left versions turn toward either side of the larynx.

Length and approach

Building a set of orientations

Many surgeons keep the straight version as their main tool, because it handles most cases. Then they add the side or angled versions for harder spots. For example, a lesion on the underside of a cord may need the downward jaw.

Flush the jaw and shaft with water straight after the procedure. Next, brush the small jaw carefully so no tissue stays behind. Finally, dry the Jurasz laryngeal polypus forceps and sterilize them.
