Description
Johnson Needle Holder
The Johnson needle holder is a long instrument at 27 or 28 cm. It lets you place stitches deep in the body while your hand stays outside the cavity.
Plain stainless
The whole holder, jaws included, is stainless steel. So it offers a simple, budget-friendly long holder. It also makes a good spare for a long carbide holder.
Long shanks
Extended shanks carry the jaws far past the handles. Meanwhile, the ratchet keeps the needle locked as you steer it. So the Johnson needle holder keeps steady control even at full depth.
Finger-ring control
Standard rings give a familiar feel. Therefore staff can switch from shorter holders without retraining. In addition, the ratchet has several steps for grip pressure.
Where it fits
Abdominal and pelvic trays often need at least one long holder. For example, a Johnson needle holder handles deep ligatures when shorter patterns cannot reach. The 28 cm size adds a little extra length for larger patients. In addition, the plain steel build keeps long-holder costs down.
Care of Johnson needle holder
Flush the long shanks and box joint with water right after use. Then scrub the serrated jaws. Finally, lay the dry holder flat so the shanks stay true.
