Description
Instruments End Adaptors For Cables
The instrument end adaptor joins a light guide cable to a scope or lighted retractor. It screws onto the cable and fits the instrument’s light post.
Three fittings
We offer Acmi, Storz and Wolf fittings. Additionally, each matches the light post on that type of instrument. Therefore, check your scope before ordering.
Why an instrument end adaptor helps
One cable can serve many instruments with the right adaptors. As a result, it cuts costs. Also, it reduces clutter on the shelf.
Where it fits
Theatres using mixed scope brands rely on adaptors. Clinics with older equipment do too. Lighted retractors often need one.
Fitting it
Screw the adaptor firmly onto the cable end. Then push it onto the light post until it clicks or seats. Finally, check for a bright, even beam.
Light source side
The other end of the cable may need its own adaptor. See our light source end adaptors. Together they complete the chain from light source to instrument, with no loose fittings.

Care
Wipe the adaptor and its optical face after use. Clean the threads gently. Then store it in a small labelled case.
Our checks behind the adaptor
Before we pack it, a colleague in Atlanta handles the adaptor piece by piece. The product warranty for each adaptor runs three years against manufacturing defects at no charge. Check our growing general instruments catalog for related tools. Often bought with it is our light source end adaptors. A backup adaptor on the shelf avoids delays.
