Description
Drill Bits and Burrs for the Hudson Hand Drill
These Hudson drill bits are listed for use with our Hudson hand drill. Six diameters run from a fine 2.0 mm bit to a broad 22.0 mm burr.
Six diameters
Choose 2.0, 9.0, 13.0, 14.0, 16.0 or 22.0 mm. Also, the 2.0 mm bit suits pilot holes. Meanwhile, the larger sizes make wider openings.
Matched to the brace
Our catalogue lists these bits beside the Hudson drill. Therefore they should fit its coupling. Contact us to confirm fit with an older brace.
Who uses Hudson drill bits
Owners of Hudson drills use them for openings in bone. Also, backup and outreach sets keep a range. Furthermore, large sizes need careful technique.
Controlled drilling
Start with gentle pressure and steady turning. Then ease off as the bit nears the far side. Check depth often with large burrs.
Spares
Large burrs dull with use. Consequently, keep a spare of the sizes you use most. In addition, that keeps the set ready.
Fine to broad
The 2.0 mm bit makes a pilot hole, while larger burrs widen the opening. Consequently, work up through sizes gradually. Additionally, that keeps control at each step.
