Forceps Goldman Fox
Periodontal plastic surgery involves handling small pieces of soft tissue that tear if squeezed hard. Goldman Fox forceps are slim tissue forceps for that work, sized at 15 cm. Our supplier places them in its plastic surgery set, beside knives and nippers used for gingival grafting.
A Gentle Hold on Free Gingival Grafts
Once a graft leaves the palate, it must move to the recipient bed without crushing. First, pick it up near an edge with light finger pressure. Then lay it on the bed and adjust its position. Because the tips are fine, the surgeon can reposition a graft in small steps. Also, keep the graft moist with saline while it waits.
Steadying Flaps While Suturing
During closure, Goldman Fox forceps hold the flap margin while the needle passes. Next, they help evert the edges so the tissue meets cleanly. In addition, they can retrieve a suture tail from the far side of a papilla. So one forceps covers both handling and tying support in a grafting tray.
Ordering the 15 cm Size
This page lists one length, 15 cm, and no other variants. However, if you prefer a longer or heavier pattern for posterior work, browse our dressing and tissue forceps before ordering. For most anterior grafts, the 15 cm length handles comfortably.
Our Checks and What We Cover
We close every pair under a lamp in the United States to confirm the tips meet evenly. The forceps are packed non-sterile, so wash them and run a steam sterilizer cycle before the first patient. If the tips drift apart through a production fault, your invoice is enough to claim, since the pair carries three years against manufacturing defects.
Material for these forceps aligns with ASTM F899. To trim tissue tags around the graft, add our Goldman-Fox soft tissue nippers. You can also see more maxillofacial surgery instruments or check our FAQs about forceps lengths.
Restricted to trained periodontal and surgical clinicians. Tip-care steps: care and sterilization. Order arrival times: shipping and delivery.
