The Fisher tonsil knife is our longest curved blade for tonsillectomy. Surgeons rely on it to make the first incision and to free the tonsil from surrounding tissue.

Starting the dissection

Tonsillectomy often begins with an incision through the mucosa at the edge of the tonsil. So the surgeon needs a knife that reaches the fossa from outside the mouth. The curve then helps the blade meet the tissue at a good angle.

23 cm and curved

We list the Fisher pattern at 23 cm, curved. That makes it the longest of our tonsil knives. Also, the extra reach suits deeper fields or larger patients.
