Finochietto lobectomy scissors are long dissecting scissors for deep thoracic work. Pick either the 27 cm or the 28 cm size to suit your chest trays.

Made for depth

Much of a lung resection takes place deep in the chest, far from the skin incision. So long scissors let the surgeon cut near the hilum with the hand outside the wound. That way, the view stays open.

Dissection, not bone

These scissors cut soft tissue and adhesions, not bone. Instead, use rib shears for bone cuts. Keeping those roles separate protects the cutting edges and keeps the scissors cutting cleanly.

Two lengths

The 27 cm size covers most adult resections. Meanwhile, the 28 cm size reaches a little further in large chests. Both share the Finochietto lobectomy scissors pattern.

Looking after Finochietto lobectomy scissors
