Extracting Forceps for Children

Description

Extracting Forceps for Children

Extracting forceps for children are scaled down for small mouths and primary teeth. The beaks and handles are smaller, so you can see more and the child sees less metal. This range holds 51 options, and each option label names its tooth area. Every child-size figure is made to our specification, with each one inspected in the United States.

Finding the Right Figure

Start with the arch and the tooth group on the label. For example, 37 is for upper incisors and 38 for lower incisors and canines. Then look at side: 39R and 39L are a handed pair for upper molars. Upper molar beaks are handed because the buccal beak point fits between the two buccal roots. In contrast, 39 and 39A carry no side letter.

Numbered Set or Single Figures

The numbered set runs from Fig. 1 for upper incisors to Fig. 7 for lower roots. So it suits a practice that wants one figure per region. However, you can still buy any figure alone.

Handles for Smaller Hands

A fitting-handle option gives the same beak a contoured, anatomical grip. Many clinicians find it steadier in a small mouth. Choose it if your hand tires on long clinic days.

Primary Root Care

Primary roots are short and often part resorbed. Therefore, seat the beaks gently below the enamel on the root. Next, luxate with light buccal and lingual moves. Also, take care near the tooth bud below.

Shipping, Steel and Cover

Each figure ships to you non-sterile; once cleaned and sterilised, it can go straight back into the pedo tray. The steel meets ASTM F899. Our warranty adds three years against manufacturing defects to every child-size figure you buy here. You can view adult extraction forceps too, or see the Albrecht forceps for deciduous teeth.
