Description
Eppendorf Cervical Biopsy and Specimen Forceps Shaft
Eppendorf biopsy forceps take punch samples of cervical tissue during colposcopy. This shaft pattern comes with a 20 cm or 23 cm shaft.
Two shaft lengths
The 20 cm shaft feels compact and quick to position. By contrast, the 23 cm shaft adds reach for a deeper view. So many clinics stock one of each.
The Eppendorf jaws
Eppendorf jaws rank among the standard punch patterns for cervical work. Therefore, most colposcopy staff will know how they handle. Also, they pair well with an endocervical sampling tool on the same tray.
Complete or interchangeable
This listing gives you a full instrument. Alternatively, the Eppendorf tip-only part mounts on our interchangeable handle. Then you can choose the format that suits your stock.
Choosing a length
Pick the 20 cm shaft if you like to work close in. Instead, choose 23 cm for patients where the cervix sits further back. Either way, Eppendorf biopsy forceps take the same bite.
Cleaning Eppendorf biopsy forceps
Wash the jaws soon after each use. Next, brush the length of the shaft and run clean water through the joint. Finally, dry the Eppendorf biopsy forceps and store the two lengths apart.
