Description
Engl Towel Forceps, Small Pattern
The Engl towel forceps are small clips for light drapes and fine tubing. At 9 cm, they suit minor surgery, hand surgery and other small fields where a heavy clip would drag the drape.
Small and light
Nine centimetres keeps the clip very light. Consequently, it holds a paper drape without pulling it out of position or tearing it.
Uses of the Engl towel forceps
Teams use them to fix small drapes at the corners. In addition, they secure suction tubing, fine cables and light leads to the drapes.
Placing the clip
Pinch the drape between finger and thumb, then close the clip across the fold. Check that the points have passed through both layers before letting go.
In minor surgery
Small procedures use light drapes and small windows. Therefore, a compact clip suits them better than a heavy towel forceps.
Hand surgery
On an arm table, space is tight and every gram counts. As a result, hand teams often choose small clips like the Engl to keep the field neat.
Stocking
Most minor procedure packs carry four to six clips. Furthermore, that number covers the corners plus a cable or two.
