Description
Endo Dissectors Scalp Elevators S-Shaped
The S-shaped scalp elevator frees the scalp from bone during endoscopic brow lifts. Its double curve follows the skull, so the blade stays flat on the surface.
Why the S-curve helps
A straight shaft lifts off the bone as the skull rounds away. This shaft bends twice instead. Therefore, the blade keeps contact across the forehead and temple.
Blade and handle options
The working end comes 12.5 or 15 mm wide. Also, you can pick an ergonomic handle or a standard one. The overall length is 23 cm.
Using the S-shaped scalp elevator
Surgeons sweep it beneath the galea through small ports. It pairs with an endoscope and a light source. In short, it releases tissue without long incisions.
Working with the endoscope
Pass the scope through a second port and watch the blade from above. Advance in short sweeps along the bone. Meanwhile, keep the convex side down so the edge never digs into the periosteum.
