Description
Dressing Forceps, 7×7 Teeth, 12 cm
These 7×7 dressing forceps are a compact thumb forceps with seven teeth on each tip that mesh when closed. Our supplier catalogue lists them among its tissue forceps at 12 cm. The wide band of teeth spreads grip across more surface, so the forceps holds firmly with modest pressure.
How Seven Teeth Change the Grip
A 1×2 forceps pins tissue at three points. By contrast, the 7×7 pattern grips along a row, which spreads the load. That makes it handy for thicker tissue, gauze and dressings, since nothing slips sideways. However, for very thin or delicate flaps, a finer pattern may be gentler.
A Single 12 cm Size
The listing covers one version only, 12 cm long with 7×7 teeth. This short length gives good control for intraoral work and dressing changes. It also fits standard cassettes without crowding.
Everyday Jobs on the Surgical Tray
Assistants often use these forceps to place and remove gauze packs. Meanwhile, surgeons use them to stabilize thicker palatal tissue or to hold a free graft while trimming. Also, they help pick up suture ends cleanly at the end of a case.
- Placing and retrieving gauze and dressings
- Holding thick palatal or keratinized tissue
- Handling suture ends during closure
Checked, Covered and Ready to Sterilize
Every pair passes inspection in the United States for tooth alignment before it leaves us. Our warranty for three years against manufacturing defects then covers the tips and spring. The forceps comes non-sterile, so clean it and put it through a sterilization cycle before clinical use.
These forceps are made of steel graded to ASTM F899. See the full implant instrument range, raise the flap first with the Quinn Periosteal Elevator, or read the FAQs.
Professional grade, for trained clinicians and assistants only. Guidance on sterilizing your instruments and on order shipping is available on our site.
