Description
Crafoord Artery Forceps
Crafoord artery forceps suit dissecting around vessels and holding ties, thanks to their curved jaw. They come in 18 and 24 cm.
Two lengths
At 18 cm, the clamp covers mid-depth fields. However, the 24 cm size reaches deep in the chest.
A curved jaw
The curve lets you see the tips. Also, it helps them pass around a vessel.
Dissect and hold
Spread tissue with the tips. Then hold the tie or vessel with the ratchet.
On a thoracic set
Thoracic teams often keep both sizes together. So they can move from the chest wall to the hilum without changing pattern. In addition, the familiar handling speeds each step. As a result, the set stays compact. Also, the curved jaw holds ties firmly as you pass them. Therefore you can dissect and ligate with one clamp. Then switch to the longer size as you move deeper.
Cleaning Crafoord artery forceps
Scrub the inner curve and hinge. Next, flush and dry by hand. Then keep the forceps flat and unlocked.
