Collin Uterine Curette

The Collin uterine curette comes in four widths, from 8 mm to 14 mm, on a 28 cm body. Surgeons choose the width that suits the size of the uterine cavity.

Four widths

Fig 1 measures 8 mm and Fig 2 measures 10 mm across. Then Fig 3 steps up to 12 mm, and Fig 4 reaches 14 mm. So a full set covers small and large cavities alike.

Matching width to dilation

A narrower curette passes through a less dilated cervix. By contrast, wider sizes cover more of the wall with each stroke. Therefore, many surgeons start narrow and move up if needed.

A 28 cm body

Every width shares the same 28 cm length. Also, that keeps the feel consistent as you change sizes. As a result, Collin uterine curettes handle alike from Fig 1 to Fig 4.

Building a set

Order one of each figure to complete the range. Alternatively, stock two of the sizes you use most. Plus, a mixed set of Collin uterine curettes spreads wear across the widths.

Cleaning Collin uterine curette

Rinse each curette promptly and check the working end for bent edges. Next, brush both faces of the tip and dry them well. Store the four figures in order so the right width comes to hand quickly.
