Description
Collin Abdominal Retractor
The Collin abdominal retractor holds a laparotomy open hands-free once you set it. It comes supplied with side blades and a middle blade.
Blade combinations
You can choose from seven combinations of side (S) and middle (M) blades. For example, the smallest pairs S 38×60 mm with M 38×55 mm. Also, the largest pairs S 62×80 mm with M 62×67 mm.
Self-retaining
Once set, it holds the wound open on its own for the length of the case. So assistants can help with other tasks instead of holding a blade. As a result, exposure stays steady during long operations.
Middle blade
The middle blade holds one end of the incision back. Then the side blades spread the abdominal wall apart. Therefore the field opens on three sides at once.
Sizing
Choose a combination based on patient build and incision length. Meanwhile, the smaller combinations fit slim patients and shorter cuts. Plus, the larger sets hold a thick wall with room to work.
Cleaning Collin abdominal retractor
Open the frame fully so the brush reaches every joint and blade surface. Next, scrub the frame and each blade, then rinse in clean water. Finally, dry every part completely and check that it moves freely before sterilizing.
