The Little retractor is a hand-held instrument with a 20 cm body and a 12 x 14 mm blade. It gives precise exposure where only a small blade will fit.

A compact 12 x 14 mm blade

The small blade holds just the tissue you need to move. So it disturbs less of the surrounding field. That suits detailed work around delicate structures.

Reach with a small tip

At 20 cm, the body reaches past superficial layers. However, the tip stays small enough for tight openings. Then the assistant can work from outside the light path.

Held by hand

Hand control lets the assistant shift the blade as needed. Also, it comes out quickly when a new angle helps. Plus, it needs no frame or setup.

Neck, thyroid and small-access procedures often need a slim retractor. In addition, it helps near nerves and vessels where a broad blade would crowd them. Keep the Little retractor next to a larger blade for flexible exposure.

Cleaning Little retractor

Rinse the small blade promptly, since soil hides in its corners. Next, brush it gently and inspect the edges for nicks. Finally, dry the instrument and place it where heavier tools cannot press on it.
