Description
Cement Spatulas
Mixing cement well is mostly about the spatula: a blade that is stiff enough to fold material and smooth enough to scrape the slab clean. This page brings together 23 versions of the dental cement spatula, so you can match the exact figure your team already uses. Every option is sold as a single instrument.
The First Catalogue Page: Fig. 00 to Fig. 4
Our supplier’s first spatula page shows figures 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4, and we list each as Fig. 00 through Fig. 4. The same page repeats Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 in a second row, listed here as Style 2. It also shows two further spatulas with no figure number. We call those Style 2 and Style 3. The catalogue does not describe how these rows differ, so compare the photos.
The Round Handle Series
A second page shows the same figure range on a round handle. Here you can choose Round Handle, Fig. 00, Fig. 0, Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3 or Fig. 4. In addition, Round Handle, Fig. 1, Style 2 and Round Handle, Fig. 2, Style 2 are second rows from that page. A round handle can be rolled in the fingers while mixing. So some assistants prefer it for long mixes.
Silicate, Pattern A, Pattern B and Set Pattern
Four options sit outside the numbered figures. Silicate, Pattern A and Pattern B are our own stock items, described here by their labels only. Set Pattern is the spatula that comes from an instrument set in the catalogue. Because none of these have written specifications, the photos are the best guide.
Choosing a Figure
- Reorder the figure stamped on your current spatula.
- Pick round handle or not by grip preference.
- Then check the photo for blade shape.
Our staff inspect every cement spatula in the United States, flexing each blade and checking its edges, before it is shipped. Spatulas arrive non-sterile; wipe off residue, clean, and sterilize them before they reach the operatory. Also, all 23 spatulas share one pledge: three years against manufacturing defects, round handle or Silicate alike.
Spatula steel meets ASTM F899. For a named alternative, see the Weston cement spatulas. Also browse the diagnostic, periodontal and restorative category or our questions and answers page.
These spatulas serve trained dental teams and laboratory staff. Our spatula cleaning and sterilizing page and courier and delivery guide have the details.
