A quick release saves motion on every stitch. This boynton carbide needle holder unlocks its ratchet when you squeeze the handles slightly further, so you never need to spread your fingers to open it. At 12 cm, it stays short and responsive for fine suturing.

How Squeeze-Through Release Works

The catalogue calls this design squeeze through with a quick release. In practice, you close the handles to lock the needle. Then, when the pass is done, a firmer squeeze carries the ratchet past its last tooth, and the jaws spring open. Because your grip never changes, the holder stays steady in the palm through the whole stitch.

Carbide Tip for a Stable Grip

The tip carries a serrated carbide insert. Carbide is harder than stainless steel, so the serration resists wear and keeps the needle from rotating. That is especially useful with small curved needles, which tend to roll when the grip is weak.
